The hotel sector, the driving force of our country's economy, is undergoing a digital transformation and is under strict sustainability compliance requirements.
Competition is global, as are its customers. Furthermore, the establishment must adapt to multicultural demands and multiple services.
For this project, delivered in 2024, a control panel was standardized for each of the 17 floors. A dedicated control network, dedicated to the building's own control, controls approximately 2,500 physical points and nearly 9,000 integrated points from other systems. This network controls the climate of the 280 rooms and common areas, integrating 5,000 lighting points and all energy measurements. Separately in the basement and also connected to the grid, two substations manage the DHW and HVAC supplies, sourced from the heating and cooling network of Barcelona's 22@ district.
ASI provides complete solutions, from the installation and commissioning of field elements, controllers, and specific software for critical installations such as data centers.
This facility is a 9MW data center built to international quality standards and for a single user. It covers 20,000 m2, with two levels and 2,000 m2 of server space, three service buildings, and one office building. It comprises a total of 3,000 physical points and more than 6,000 integration points.
The entire project was completed in one year, and control was commissioned four months after the installation start date.
The key to success is planning the needs in advance and ensuring proper documentation for integration with equipment from other suppliers.
